Odd to see unpolled milk cows and odd to see cows being milked in the field. Do they do that in the winter, too, in the Val de Bagne? Do the cows never thwack the milkman in the head with their tails? At about 14:28 they throw a white powdery substance out for the cows. Is that salt? I'm used to salt licks in rectilinear cubes, somewhat the size of a breadbox. "Il aime ce qu'il fait," says the lady, and he, "J'ai besoin de cette solitude." Entendu.
As for the spoken French, I understood less than half.
