Ich habe hier die Frage gefragt gestellt.
- eine Frage stellen: to pose a question

Es ist nicht Zeit fürs Abendessen. (not idiomatic.)
Es ist (noch) nicht die richtige Zeit fürs Abendessen.
(It's not time for dinner.) (not yet the proper time)

Es ist noch nicht Zeit, zu Abend zu essen.
Es ist noch nicht (die) Zeit fürs Abendessen.
(It's not time for dinner yet.

Es ist noch nicht Zeit zu schlafen/zum Schlafen/ fürs Bett – es ist noch nicht einmal Zeit fürs Abendessen.
(It's not time to sleep yet - it's not even time for dinner.

Es ist noch nicht Zeit zum Schlafen – es ist noch nicht einmal Essenszeit.
(It's not time to sleep yet - it's not even dinnertime.

(Do you have an opinion on A or B? Or even right idea?

Ah, entschuldigt, ich hatte ausschließlich #62 wahrgenommen, und meine Aussage, dass alle Sätze korrekt sind, bezog sich nur darauf.
(Ah, sorry, I had only noticed #62, and my statement that all sentences are correct referred only to that.
- ausschließlich: exclusive(ly)
- etw.A wahrnehmen: to notice sth.
-die Aussage: statement
- sich.A auf jmdn. beziehen: refer to sb; | bezog, bezogen |

Ja, "unser" kleiner Faden kann auf nicht-Eingeweihte schon recht unübersichtlich wirken – ist er aber natürlich nicht...
(Yes, "our" little thread can seem quite confusing to the uninitiated ...
- Eingeweihte: insider, those in the know, the initiated
- wirken: seem, appear

Danke für deine Einschätzung zu "meine/ meiner". Ich teile deine Meinung.
(Thank you for your assessment/judgement of "meine/ meiner". I share your opinion.

Jetzt schaue ich mal in die XXX, ob ich was Definitives dazu finde.
(Now I'll look into the XXX to see if I can find anything definitive about it.

Expressions of All of the books

1.1 all books
1.2 all the books; all of the books: alle Bücher,
1.3 all 3 books; all 3 of the books: alle drei Bücher
*all of the 3*
*all the 3, but
-- ("All (of) the three” is grammatical but "the" may sound redundant. "All three" already implies that you are referring to specific books. It's okay, however, when it designated three particular books from a larger set. E.g.,
1.4 all the 3 books that I bought
It's just like all the recommended books.

2.1 three of 10 books; three of the books
2.2 all 3 books of the 10

3. each of the books: jedes der Bücher,
each of [the] three books: jedes [der] drei Bücher.

4 (Pronoun) all of them, them all
4.1 all of them→ all three of them, all of them three
4.2 them all→ them three
*them three all

●(Sentences Reading)▸
I read a book
1. The phrase "I read a book" inside a longer sentence can mean either
(A) "I finished reading a book" or
(B) "I read some of a book", "I read a book for a while".
E.g. of B
▸Alex read a book while Amy watched TV.
▸Anna read War and Peace until 3:00 a.m.
▸Have you read the Bible today yet?

▸(ambiguous) I read this book yesterday before going to bed.
- The sentence could be interpreted - and probably would be - to mean that you read an entire book before going to bed. A native speaker would be likely to say
▸"I read this book for a while ..." or
▸"I read some of this book ..."

2. I am unsure if the phrase "I have read a book" inside a longer sentence can mean (B). (Examples?)

3. But the complete sentences "I read a book." and "I have read a book." can only mean A. By themselves, English action verbs ("to read") usually refer to a complete action (start to finish).

4. To talk about an in-progress action, we change the grammar. We add "-ing" or put the phrase in a clause with "from" or "while" or "until", etc.
▸I was reading War and Peace last night before bed.
(=I read some of War and Peace last night before bed.)
▸Alex read a book while Amy watched TV.

5. "I read a book yesterday but I haven't read it all yet" or "... but I haven't finished it yet."

▸Gut, lass uns die Antwort wissen! Du hast meinen Satz auch gut übersetzt.
▸Ich bin mir in dieser Sache allerdings ziemlich sicher.
(I'm however pretty sure about this though.
▸Aber möglicherweise haben auch die NES hier auf LEO etwas dazu zu sagen.

▸Obwohl ebenfalls kein ENS, bin ich mir dieser Sache auch ziemlich sicher. Deshalb hatte ich den ganzen Satz ja ursprünglich angemerkt.
(Although also not an ENS, I'm pretty sure about this as well. That's why I originally noted the whole sentence.
▸Ich hatte darin 3 Fehler vermutet: not until last month, available und die Zeitformen der Verben.

▸On your last point: yes, though I think it's quite arduous to have to go through another thread as well as this one, especially as the other one is very much taken up with different questions such as whether "to read a book" implies reading it to the end.
arduous: difficult, needing a lot of effort and energy; laborious

taken up with sb: to become friendly or start a relationship with someone, especially someone who might have a bad influence on you.

die (dre)i Bücher: the (three) books
alle (drei) Bücher: all (three) books, all (three) of the books
alle Bücher: all the books *alle die Bücher

c.f.
all of the books: alle Bücher
one of the books: ein der Bücher, ein von den Büchern
one/none of them: ein/kein davon
the books ... all: die Bücher ... alle

▸1.1Ich mag alle drei Bücher.

▸2.1(poor word order)Ich mag alle drei Bücher nicht, nur eines davon/ eines der Bücher*.
(I don't like all three books; I like only one of them.
- "ein" is a pronoun here. It needs to 字尾變化.
▸2.2(more idiomatic) Von den drei Büchern mag ich nur eines.

3.1 Ich mag keines davon/ keines der drei Bücher.

▸4.1 Ich mag nicht alle drei Bücher.
▸4.2 Ich mag alle drei Bücher nicht.
(= 3 Ich mag alle/die drei Bücher nicht.

▸4.5 Die drei Bücher alle mag ich alle nicht.
▸4.6 Alle drei Bücher mag ich nicht.
(1) I don't like all three books; I like part* a few** of them: 4.1, 4.3,
(2) I like none of the three books.: 4.2, 4.4, 4.5, 4.6

[*]: I don't think we ever speak of "part" of something which is in the plural.
[**] If there are only three books, you can't like "a few" of them. You can only like either "one of them" or "two of them". "A few" is normally at least three.
- 4.4 und 4.6 sind identisch.
Nur 4.5 ist falsch, alle anderen Sätze sind korrekt.
dieser Teil fehlt im Deutschen.

▸5.1 Die Bücher sind nicht alle gut.
(Some are good and some are not.)
▸5.2 Die Bücher sind alle nicht gut.
(None is good.)
