I answered "disparaient" whereas the correct answer was "disparaissent".

I somehow thought that the form with ss is only required for nous/vous and not for ils, confused with another rule.

Here in all plural form, you add ss.

I answered "quelq'un" and the correct answer was "quelqu'un d'autre".

I didn't pay attention to the word "else" and even if I did, I wouldn't have known this form. I also misspelled the word quelqu'un.

It is just one expression to remember.

I have used up the free allocation and didn't pay for the premium, didn't think I needed it at this point. So, will keep using three allocation, unless I decide that I really need to speed up.

Otherwise, going through the 2nd season of "Plan cœur". It is not as interesting as the 1st one (so far), so there is a bit of decay in my engagement...

Otherwise, I'm reading news in French regularly and understand almost everything.

Still looking for the transcription of the Macron - Le Pen debate, doesn't seem like it exists in the open domain. The subtitles on Youtube are botched, so can't really follow.

Oral comprehension remains a challenge, I normally pick up just individual words and phrases and rarely understand entire sentences.

Errors:

1) misheard the word "émotion"
2) missed the word "que"

- it cannot be heard at all!!! this is the difficulty in comprehension, hardly anyone would hear the word "que" in this recording, it's unintelligible

3) used singular instead of plural "ces mots" - this is still too subtle for me to understand by hearing
4) misheard the word "avant"
5) used the infinitive form of the verb, instead of Passé composé "Vous êtes arrivé"
6) incorrectly used Passé composé although i'm not sure why the verb here is in the plural form, if the word "passion" is singular???

7) used "de" instead of "des"
8) again used the infinitive form of the verb, instead of Passé composé "délégué"
9) used "peux" instead of "pu"
10) used singular instead of plural in " les bonnes décisions"

Hello, everyone!

I didn't learn French for almost a month.

Really no motivation, progress seems elusive and so many things are happening in life.

I did use my 10 July Kwiziq credits just now.

This pushed my A2 achievement score to 21.47%, slowly creeping up.

I did 10 tests, with 3, 1, 0, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 0, 3 errors, respectively.

Overall, that's 19 errors which is a bit disappointing, as I also tend to think that I repeat the same errors more than once.

If I feel motivated at some point, I will go through those errors here.

I seem to particularly struggle with the topic "Using manquer (de) to say you/something miss or lack in French".

I was goofing around with Duolingo, they added quite a few new lessons, so I now completed all of them and got the "Cup" again for the English-French tree.

With a help of a friend, I picked up the DELF book again and did the Activity 12 in the oral comprehension.

This book is going to take quite some time, as I have capacity for 1-2 activities max per day.

Not setting overly ambtious targets, as I'm actually trying to enjoy the summer. Picking up the book again is an achievement by itself.

I answered 3/4 questions correctly, they were relatively easy.

The 4th question is tricky, as it offers you to choose the correct responses from 6 choices. I have chosen 5, while only 3 of them were correct. The other two were present in the text as well, but they weren't used specifically to express sympathy...

So, I was trying to watch "Plan cœur" and "Dix pour cent", just couldn't relate...

Instead, I watched "Indochine" with Catherine Deneuve. No regrets.

The only mild irritation I had is the quality of the subtitles. For some reason, the subtitles don't translate the speech "word for word". They seem to omit phrases here and there.

I was looking for the original screenplay of "Indochine" with everything 100% correct but couldn't find it so far.
