Learning French log (Road to DELF B1)

Postby LanguageLearner0007 » Fri Apr 22, 2022 6:00 pm

Hi everyone, this is my log of learning French. Started from zero about 2 years ago and now trying to pass the DELF B1 exam.

What I did so far:

1. Completed the full course of English-French on Duolingo.
2. At least 20 hours with private tutors
3. 1 semester in a university, at B1 level (was too high for me but I finished anyway)

I am now preparing using the official DELF book, would love to find some supporters and inspiration, maybe even a study group.

Welcome! I'm definitely interested in hearing this as, while I don't have to pass the B1 exam, I might need to prove B1+/B2 type competency at the end of June.

Alright, so I am preparing using the book Le DELF – 100% réussite (B1, 2nd edition), by Bruno Girardeau, Émilie Jacament and Marie Warzecha Salin.

It is split into 4 parts, corresponding to 4 parts of the exam.

I am going through the oral comprehension and written comprehension in the same time, in order of the book.

Will post my current activity, as I go along.

Oral comprehension: Activity 9

Written comprehension: Activity 10

Alright, that was quite a productive weekend. Actually, the written comprehension consists of 13 activities and 8 exercises, so I completed the activities and started the exercises.

The idea is to complete the written comprehension part soon (I find it much easier than others).

Oral comprehension: Activity 9

Written comprehension: Activities completed. Exercise 4.

Forced myself to do 1 activity today, even after a tiring day at work.

Pausing oral for the moment, going through the written comprehension.

Oral comprehension: Activity 9

Written comprehension: Activities completed. Exercise 5 completed.
