how to understand which dialect I am reading?

hi,
I think I need / might leave from B1 level in arabic in near future (hopefully) but,
how can I understand which dialect of arabic I am reading.
I remember from somewhere that all dialect of arabic would/might be written in same form for writing but not sure.
