It’s WEDNESDAY!!!!

Japanese
Today I studied some grammar rules in my textbook and did 3 lessons on Bunpo. However looks like bunpo isn’t free (or I’m just stupid lol) soooo I don’t think I’ll keep using it. I also played Clozemaster – 100 new, 114 reviewed (playing 5124/mastered 2217)

Français
J’ai regardé 1 épisode de Moloch, c’est pas facile à comprendre surtout après toutes ces séries doublées que j’avais regardées ces derniers temps…
J’ai lu deux chapitres de Les dieux voyagent toujours incognito et écouté 10 chapitres de Le dernier message, ils ont été tout courts

THURSDAY

All I did today was French but I still feel very productive and here’s why

:?: In view of the above (for non-french speakers – the book I’ve just finished reading, or rather, its second half was a complete torture), I have created a poll and wish to know your opinion.

FRIDAY---SATURDAY---SUNDAY

These days I studied late at night and had no energy to update daily, but still I’ve been quite productive

Japanese
The main achievement of the week – I’ve started a manga in Japanese – この中に1人、妹がいる! I had to look up many words and sometimes I had to look at the Russian version to check if I understood correctly, but there were many words that I knew! What’s clear is that I should really focus on grammar
Also, Clozemaster – 226 new, 277 reviewed (playing 5250/mastered 2222)

Hiiiiiiiiiiiii everyone! Long time no update, I knooooow, I had a super hard month but good news is I have finally completed my PhD!!! I cannot believe it…Those last two weeks before the day X were extremely hard, I felt terrible and didn’t study any languages at all...Anyways I’m alive and back on track now with more energy!

Here’s what I managed to do:

Japanese
As for my textbook, I’m still on lesson 14. Watched 20 episodes of Miku’s Real Japanese on YouTube and had to rewatch some of them later on to take notes.
Read 3 chapters of この中に1人、妹がいる!It’s extremely difficult and I have to look up many words but I still understand everything that’s going on so I count this as a success.

Italian
My interest in Italian is back!!!!! Sooooooo, I finished Fantasmi and was shocked by the ending! SPOILERSSSSSS for an A1 level book lol ----- everyone dies!!!! wtf
I got a new textbook Nuovo Espresso and did 36 pages

Hey guys! Time for another update!

These days I’ve been reading a lot in Russian, I have been reading The First Law by Joe Abercrombie, I read two books out of three. I’m really obsessed with it at the moment and it’s taking most of my free time.

English
I watched Shadow and Bone which was….great but also cringy af. Seems like the author found Russian proper names and just random Russian words to sound amusing and exotic and included them in the story but what she didn’t know (or care) about was that Russian names have a gender so there are male characters with male first names but female last names and vice versa. Absolutely random Russian words are used to define magic terms lol. Might sound cool for a non-russian speaker but my ears bled. I have truly enjoyed the story and would like to read the book to know what next but…. I won’t, thanks

Japanese
Did lottts of anki. I’ve been working with three decks, assimil, Japanese core 2000 listening and one Russian deck. I’ve been doing them almost every day, adding 50 new cards for each deck every day. The Russian deck and the assimil deck are easy (Assimil’s great though because it has sentences to translate from English into Japanese). I like Japanese core 2000 a lot because it really helps with listening. Also I watched two episodes of 蜘蛛ですが、なにか? and 5 episodes of Monster (I write down 3-4 kanji out of each episode and learn them later). Of course I’m watching with subtitles but I’m still so so happy when I understand a word or a sentence!
Also I’ve been watching Ako Nihongo Lessons on youtube, I’ve enjoyed her n4 videos and kanji videos. The sensei almost doesn’t speak English!
What I really struggle with is learning to write kanji. What I do is write the same kanji over and over again for dayssss and I still forget some of them. Does anybody know a more effective way?

Italiano
Ho fatto tre lezioni di Nuovo Espresso (sono alla lezione sei) e qualche esercizi del libro degli esercizi. Mi piace molto il videocorso! E molto divertente! Ho anche guardato qualche video di EasyItalian.

Heeeey! It’s been a while! Been really busy, it’s my first vacation without the damned thesis ruling my life. However I’ve been studying very hard.
I gave up on The First Law by Joe Abercrombie which I was reading in Russian. Long book series are probably not for me…. Now I’m slowly reading Живые и мертвые by Константин Симонов. It’s the first book by a Russian author I’ve read in years, what a shame, huh?

English
I’ve been slowly reading Without Merit by Coleen Hoover (p 210/495) and texting to people almost every day. No speaking, unfortunately, been more focused on French I guess

Japanese
Look who learned 100% of Japanese Core 2000 Step 1 and 85% of Step 2.

anki 2.jpg

I watched all Ako Nihongo Lessons that she has for level N4 so far on youtube, listened to some Sakura tips, JapanesePod and Noriko podcasts. And watched watercolor by Shibasaki on youtube, he’s my favorite grandpa, check him out guyssssss, it’s absolutely amazing!!!!
I chose a new textbook - Marugoto A2. It’s great because it has a lot of listening and it makes you speak. And there are pictures and curious facts about Japanes culture. It also has videos after each lesson. Now I’m on lesson 4 out of 9. I’m using both Katsudou and rikai books. Here’s a little text about me and my life and stuff mostly written with vocab from 3 marugoto lessons:

Italian
I finished a small graded readers book – La collana longobarda (A2) and started a new one – Nonna per passione (read 25 pages out of 50). I’ve been talking to random people online a bit. Also, somebody (me) has developed a huuuuuuge crush on maneskin.

Serbian
Yes, Serbian lol. I wondered what it would be like to study another Slavic language and it feels soooooo weird. I did two lessons of a Сербский с нуля. So far it seems super difficult because it’s too similar to Russian but it’s not Russian. We’ll see where it gets us

Résumé. It’s really hard to update the log after such a long time, I already don’t remember what I did, so I’ll try to write updates every day for a couple of weeks.
