It's been a busy week or so, I've spent a fair amount of it with my friend speaking French and touring Brisbane and its surrounds. I'm trying to stay awake until the rugby (Aus vs Wales) which is at 1.45am for me. So I thought I'd take a moment to update you all on my lack of progress.
In a language lowlight, I got corrected by a six year old during the week.

Re: Extralean: C2 Français et d'autres aventures.
The majority of my time recently has been taken up with job hunt related boringness, fatherhood, and enjoying the sunshine.
The book I ordered for French (Production Écrite) finally arrived after +5 weeks. Seems it left England, did a tour through Sweden and then decided to make it's way down under. So I will make a start on that soon.
I got some more novels from the Alliance Française which I will work my way through, so there will be some more vocab posts.
I have been chatting on a skype group for Spanish. One of the people on it that I've known for a while has said that my writing has improved. Probably because I don't enjoy getting corrected on stupid things. My accent needs work, but that's no surprise.

Re: Extralean: C2 Français et d'autres aventures.
Well I am now gainfully employed. My first day is on Monday!
It's for an association that helps refugees, so I'll be getting some exposure to languages I don't have much experience in, which is exciting. Expect some dabbling. Probably in Arabic, but also maybe Farsi, Tamil, Hazaragi, and Rohingya (I don't even know what the last two are!)
My future colleagues seem to be a good mix of Australian and others, which I should enjoy. So I am well pleased.

Re: Extralean: C2 Français et d'autres aventures.
So languages I've got to speak and listen to at work this past two weeks:
French (woo), Spanish (woo),Turkish, Kurdish, Farsi, Arabic, Ethiopian/Amharic, Tagalog, Thai,Tamil, Hindi, Greek, and I'm sure I have missed some african ones I dont know the names of.
It makes for a happy change.

Re: Extralean: C2 Français et d'autres aventures.
I now have a group of 3 latinas with whom I lunch regularly, and danced with at the xmas party. So my spanish is getting a workout. There's a couple of French speakers I've added to my language rotation as well. So full steam ahead.
Farsi looks like fun. Fun fact, the farsi word for thank you is..... Merci.
That is all.

Re: Extralean: C2 Français et d'autres aventures.
Unfortunately, I don't have a whole lot to update you all with. I get to pratice my french and spanish every day at work, but work and fatherhood is taking up most of my time.
