Buena suerte with your 30-day Spanish challenge, EnglishEagle! I did something similar back in the summer of 2010 whilst living in Germany, although I broke my project down into 2 smaller challenges (weeks 1-2: Fighting Windmills; weeks 3-4: El Mariachi), and then followed up with a few long one-to-one sessions with a native speaking Spanish tutor, before heading off to Barcelona for a week with my wife to enjoy the World Cup. It was all quite intense, but what really helped me was finding high quality materials that kept the learning process fun, and having some basic conversational Spanish to hand made our stay in Barcelona way more enjoyable.
