Vogeltje (wise owl chick, jar-ptitsa, kuikentje) log

Postby Jar-Ptitsa » Wed Aug 26, 2015 4:58 pm

Hello

All are welcome to visit this log except the spies and the mods who were the nasty ones (I will not precise who, becasue I don't want rdearman to have problems, but until now, it seems that only one nasty mod visits this forum).

My concentration is poor, and I can't read long texts. Also, with listening, sometimes I have problems. But I study when I want and can, because I don't need this for my job. I was a gardener assistant, which I liked and now I work some hours each week in a university café, which is ok.

You can write in the language of your choice. If I don't udnerstand the language, then I will use google translate :)

My languages plan:

My Dutch is good. I can understand almost all, written and spoken. tarvos said that my Dutch is fine, only my spelling is inaccurate. But my spelling is not connected to my Dutch level, but to my writing ability, which is very well except that the letters decide where they want to be and don't let me put them in the correct place

My German is good, I can understand most things and say them also except the cases, which are complicated and therefore I make up the declension depending on what is first in my head: der / den / das / die / e / es etc. which is, evidently, not the most accurate method

My English is my own version, I know, but I think that it become more accurate now that I live in England (since a few months). For sure I can understand more what the people say now: before, this was extremely difficult. I can udnerstand written English nearly without problem, only the spoken version is difficult. I can write what I want to say, but I suppose with many mistakes. When I speak, I have to think and the pronunciation is not easy. It is ideal to practise it here, and I hope to be courageous and use this opportunity more.

My Spanish is my own version as well. My grammar is basic and my knowledge of the phrases also. I can read it but not well, my other 3 foreign langauges are better for this. Spanish is my first priority for improvement at the moment.

When I read Spanish, I can understand it quite well. When the people speak, I am lost because they speak very, very fast :!:

The variety I learn is castillian Spanish, therefore with vosotros, which other varities haven't got, as I understand it. In the next months, I want to use my books and work through. I've bought them some years ago, but I havne't used them. one is by Madrigal and the other I don't remember. Some people from htlal have recommended them.

Ik wil natuurlijk mijn Nederlands ook bij houden, zodat ik het niet vergeet.

Viel Glück in diesem Jahr beim Sprachenlernen, Feuervogel!

----

(an English version, if needed - not a word for word translation)

Your relationship with English is very close to my own: I can understand written text without much trouble, but I don't have good listening comprehension and my pronunciation is far from good. Actually what is hardest for me is to speak with the right intonation and rhythm. The pronunciation of the words themselves is not that much of a hassle for me. I'm working on solving these issues, though.

In your case, being in London will provide you with great opportunities to improve your pronunciation and bring it to a satisfactory level.

Vielen Dank !! :)

Ja, der Nachmittagstee sieht schön aus, und wurde vom besten Restaurant besonders bestellt und im Garten geliefert und serviert. Alles ist vom höchsten Qualität und die Erdbeeren sind aus eigenem garten.

Vielleicht möchtest du eine Cocktail dazu?
