As can easily be seen, I went further off my intended target and primarily just listened to
DWN, and started working through
Living German instead of the vocabulary/exercises of
DWN. I'm honestly not sure what I want to do with
Warum Nicht, but for the moment I'm happy to passively absorb what I can from it while working through
Living German. I may change my mind and use
Warum Nicht as my main course again, but so far I'm happy just to run through the audio once, while referencing the pdf for the dialogues on the second retelling. Probably doesn't matter one way or another as long as there is forward movement, and things don't get bogged down in back and forth switches. I do feel more apt to use
LG for the grammar/vocabulary/exercises/readings than
WN. I feel like
LG will give me more opportunity to actively use the grammar and vocabulary. Sure
WN has vocabulary to learn and some exercises, but the bulk of the lesson is listening and comprehension (which certainly are important skills to develop!). Either way, I
think I'll be using both in some combination going forward. Onwards and upwards!

So, I technically did start the vocabulary for Lesson 1 of each text, but after one day of just learning 3 cards for each language I decided to suspend the decks. Too many pots on the stove perhaps? I used to be able to learn like 4-5 languages at once, but certainly not now while attending university. I'll revisit where things stand for these two later this Spring.
