An app sounds like a good idea actually! For the past week I've only written down rough guestimates...

When I'm not on my phone but on a computer I'll write down what I'm using now :)

I did! And I was absolutely terrible at it :| I blame it on the way the classes were structured, my inability to study vocabulary (bless SRS!), and my general lack of motivation. I've toyed with the idea of studying it on Duolingo. I'm pretty sure there's a pretty solid basis somewhere in my brain and it just needs some tickling...

Back to your question!

So far I am using:
- The New Penguin Russian Course (textbook)
- Memrise: Russian Alphabet + my own Memrise course for NPRC
- Russian for Everyone
- Forvo

NPRC is a pretty solid course but it doesn't come with audio. That's why I'm using Russian for Everyone (also for some additional vocab and grammar explanations) and Forvo. I'm still looking for a course that'll fill the audio gap.

I am also looking for some Russian movies, series etc to watch to get used to the sound of Russian. Unfortunately, Dutch Netflix doesn't have a good selection (understatement of the century), but I started watching The Sniffer.

You can find some resources in our Russian Study Group thread: p12 & p13.

Кухня is a perennial favourite with learners and natives alike and is easily available on YouTube.

You can always ask on the study thread for advice or recommendations etc. Enjoy Russian! :D

I went to a bilingual school, so they were a little bit stricter about us learning the languages. My German was OK, my French bleh; I could read it okay but didn't speak it so well. Eventually fixed all of that, though. Not very different from you.
