Thank you so much! I've never heard of them. They're great, exactly what I needed <3

A crazy day, but I've managed to do some things :)

1) Read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (pages: 61/358)
+10

2) Keep making memes (done: 92)
+8

3) Listen some more (8 hours, 20 minutes)

1) Read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (pages: 71/358)
+10
It's such an ejoyable read, who would have thought. But still, I'm reading rather slowly, since there's lots of new vocabulary that I need to look up. The good thing is that the reading itself got faster, but I'll have to check that, possibly on some movie with subtitles (with longer sentences I had to pause, now it feels like I wouldn't have to. Yay!).

2) Keep making memes (done: 100)
+2
I'm kind of a perfectionist so I'm at war with myself (again) – should I also make memes for words that I'm sure about? Feels a bit unnecessary, but on the other hand there were some instances where I forgot the "obvious" words, so... Hmm. Food for thoughts.

3) Listen some more (8 hours, 20 minutes)
+1 hour 10 minutes
The key to listening more is to find another task that goes well with it. Add the enjoyable to less enjoyable. Let's see for how long will that work!

I'm so happy about today, it was really productive. I'm trying to build up certain every day habits and now I feel like I've managed to create a system that actually works. I only worry that it will all fall apart with the start of the academic year, but we'll cross that bridge when we'll come to it, I guess.

Oops, forgot to update yesterday, so this one goes for that AND for today :D.

1) Read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (pages: 81/358)
+10, +10
We're past the 100th page! Yass!

2) Keep making memes (done: 102)
+4

3) Listen some more (9 hours, 30 minutes)
+30 minutes, +1 hour 30 minutes

It's neither an interesting log or even an entertaining one, but it keeps me accountable. I don't need this log to stay motivated – I'm plenty motivated on my own – but it does help a bit and I really appreciate that. It's all very nice so far :D.

Making memes is such a unique way to practice a language. Can you share some you make in here? (w/ translation)

This weekend was too busy for me to do anything – mostly I was trekking somewhere up in the mountains. I'm feeling pretty much worned out, but hopefully tomorrow I'll be fully recharged and ready for more studying!

Sure, but I do warn you that they are a bit silly :D. And I have some of them in English, actually!
One of the red words is something I associate with the Greek one (it doesn't have to sound exactly the same, it only needs to be close enough so that my brain will remember the rest, although these examples are okay in that regard) and the other is it's meaning.

PS: That in fact inspired me to test them out again on recognition and I scored 93%, so I've just reassured myself that it's something woth doing <3. And! Shorter sentences work way better. In a month or so I'll test out production.

Those aren't memes (・_・ヾ
I think the word you might be looking for is mnemonics.

Yes, mnemonics, linkwords to be exact. I call them memes since I make them for my own courses on Memrise, where they're called mems – but some people call it memes as well and it stuck with me.

Shame on Memrise for misleading you!

But whatever you call them, you probably learn some things by making those whatever-you-call-them thingies. I'm sure it's funny to make them, and funny things are easier to remember than boring things.

They are! I'm so glad I gave them a shot, I was very sceptical at first for some reason.

Report!
1) Read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (pages: 101/358)
+20
Good day for reading!

2) Keep making memes (done: 106)
+0
...bad day for creativity.

3) Listen some more (11 hours)
+20 minutes
I've discovered Greek TED talks! It's nice when youtube suggests relevant videos, for once. It also keeps suggesting Russian ones – apparently it keeps mixing up those two alphabets :D
