Shadowing, (more recently) glossika, and a lot of comparative phonetics. I often use IPA for clear, objective pronunciations of the standard language, meaning whatever the standardized form of that language is (i.e. I'm not going to look up the Appalachian English pronunciation of a word). Wikipedia and Wiktionary both have great resources for that: *Insert language here* IPA and individual words' IPA on Wiktionary.

I also think stress is the most important thing to practice. As mentioned somewhere else on the forum, whether the German glottal stops between words staying with vowels are pronounced by a Frenchman or German, will they be understood.
