My father's native language is English but HIS father's native language is Spanish. Checked the English box for accuracy though. My father wasn't taught Spanish as a child either (nor even as an adult) because my grandfather wanted to leave his impoverished Mexican-American childhood behind him and the language was a big part of that for him. So just English for my dad and his siblings.
