Hello,
I don't speak Korean but I wanted to translate a name. It's name Catherine in English, in my language (Slovak) it's Katarína. I got these two translations and I was wondering what is the difference.
1. 카타리나
2. 캐서린
Thank you.

Re: Name in Korean
I think the first one (카타리나) sounds closer to the slovak version (Katarína); and the second one (캐서린) sounds closer to the english version (Catherine).

Re: Name in Korean
That's exactly right. The first one is a phonetic rendering of the Slovak, the second of the English variant.
