Learning Armenian?

I am considering learning basic Armenian for work purposes. It seems like this might be one of the harder languages to learn, partly because there aren't a lot of resources available for the language learner. I've also been told that there are multiple dialects, so choosing the right dialect might be an additional issue.

Im looking for basic guidance on maybe where to start, and of any resources that could be of use. Not sure if I will fully commit or not, but the need to speak the language has been presenting itself quite often, due to an Armenian community that lives near me. At the very least I think it would be helpful to learn some basic greetings and whatnot.
