What languages have these traits...?

Postby Valarial » Sat Apr 28, 2018 6:24 pm

I have an unusual recording and I'm trying to figure out what language it is. It sounds guttural, there are trilling of R's and a lot of hard C (k) sounds.

Any suggestions? If you would like to hear it is would be happy to pass it along, though the source is confidential.

Thank you!

Quite a few (e.g. Basque). Could you put an excerpt on-line for us to listen to?

Hmm, this could be even Czech, based on this description.

This seems to be the same thread on another forum. The audio file is attached to the first post, but one needs to create an account on that forum to get access to it.

Well, as the original poster hasn’t been back on the forum since asking the question, it hardly seems worth worrying about.

I'm driven purely by the natural language curiosity :)

BTW, the language (which I, obviously, can't recognize) sounds kind of Indic to me.
