When using the method with an unfamiliar script, did you make sure to divide the information up so you only had to remember one thing per line? That means you shouldn’t have just one line for each word with its definition like you might do for a language you are more familiar with. Instead, you should start with the word and its definition on one line, then if necessary another line showing how to pronounce the word, another showing how to write it if you need to learn stroke order or similar, etc. You might also need additional lines for grammatical information if you need to know, for example, conjugations, declensions, plurals or other things about the word. One word might then take several lines in the beginning. These lines would then most likely be condensed together in the first few distillations before any start to be eliminated.
