They were quite close, but as I see in someone else's results that "North Irish (UK)"* is an option, they didn't quite get it right. Overall, though, it seems like a fairly accurate algorithm.
*(although it's so strange to see it not written as "Northern Irish" - I would consider "North Irish" to be something different.)

I find the secondary and tertiary results kind of strange. Is the rough English of my Chinese roommate affecting me that much?

Re: Which English
There has to be something there in the 2nd and 3rd places even if the algorithm is 99.9999% sure that you're a native English speaker.
Since the algorithm is based on user responses, I'd interpret the results in the 2nd and 3rd places as:
Xenops (American)
1. English
2. Chinese
3. Norwegian
as "Chinese and Norwegian learners of English tend to learn American English".
DaveBee (British)
1. English
2. Hungarian
3. Swedish
as "Hungarian and Swedish learners of English tend to learn British English".

Re: Which English
I got
1 New Zealandish
2 Australian
3 Welsh
I have lived in Australia most of my life, have been to NZ for 4 days and used to holiday in Wales as a toddler evidently. I’m scratching my head about why it thinks I’m a kiwi - maybe that’s my mix of English and Australian dialect = kiwi?
And
1. English
2. Romanian
3. Swedish
Edit: my Australian born wife just did the quiz and she too got:
1. New Zealandish
2. Australian
3. Welsh
And, unprompted by me, she suggested that New Zealandish may be considered a more formal Australian. And certainly she has an Educated Australian accent - as opposed to General or Broad.

I am a New Zealander who lives in Australia... and my girlfriend is Malaysian-Chinese (The version of English she speaks is basically Singaporean), so the top 3 guesses seem very accurate!
