I'll rephrase a bit the thread's name : I'm not learning Another (one more) language because...
Right now I feel that I keep progressing. Not as it happens at the early stages, the process is slower and just different. Maybe at my current level it wouldn't do any harm if I start learning another language, I don't know, but I feel that there still are gaps I'd like to fill before moveing on to any other language from my wish list. That might be just a perfectionism (or laziness? ) Anyway, English is the one to blame

While this should be easy, I feel like I don't know where or how to start. Okay, where have I been all these years?

The languages that hold my interest have not evolved beyond those that I began some years ago (all the easy ones): French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, German, Polish, and Russian. Regrettably and shamefully, I am an inconstant lover. I begin with one, promising and even believing in, a life-long union. However, at some point in the relationship, another, prettier face comes along and, what can I say other than that love truly does spring eternal, provided you keep renewing it!

Now, take this German girl that I have been seeing for the past ten years. I mean, we're so close, it's like we're married (B2-C1). But then, not really, it's not like we're married or anything! And, I don't really stray, it's like I've just gone out for a long walk.

One way or another, I find myself returning to the girl whom I so recklessly discarded. Although we had once attained a level of intimacy bordering on mature love (A2+), invariably, my reunited lover obliges me to begin the courtship anew, save for the preliminaries (A0...+). I feel like the world’s sluttiest gigolo of independent language-learners.

So then, lately, I have rekindled my Spanish studies. Wait a minute, sorry to have to cut you off so quickly, but a cute Polish girl just walked by... Przepraszam! Czy pani rozumie po angielsku?

Well, I going for a different flavor or take on the concept...

I didn't mean your question is the same as theirs. I mean you can find answers to your question there. People there talked about not learning language X because Y.

Agreed. I view the earlier thread was more ideological whereas this one I see as more practical or logistical.

I'm not learning so many languages because so little time.

I'm not learning _________ language because:

1. I'm thick.
2. I'm lazy.
3. I'm busy doing other things.
4. I'm too broke to pay for the resources.

That covers just about all my reasons, for a wide variety of languages. You can fill in the blank and then just pick a reason, it will be a valid one for me.
