Axon wrote:Some people definitely like it, I know there are avid users here of ChinesePod and CantonesePod. I used PolishPod once, long ago, and GermanPod even before that. I thought they were too slow, and I didn't really like the voices of the speakers in either one. It seemed like the hosts were just reading from a script instead of trying to engage the audience.

If you like FrenchPod, then absolutely keep using it. You're right that it's a valuable all-in-one resource!

Chinesepod isn't related to LanguagePod101 afaik. I use it a lot and really enjoy it. Each episode has extra dialogue, vocab, grammar lessons, and exercises. Chinesepod also has integration with Pleco (Chinese dictionary) and Skritter (character writing system).

Any in particular you have in mind that you think merit a mention?

What, you've worked through all those Ad Alta Voce podcasts and you're ready for French?

France Culture has some nice podcasts.

FLE courses: Cavesa should be able to make several recommendations.

Here’s one French publisher:

Holy moly, they're still selling Mauger!

 Not at all! It is just whenever I see a post like that, regardless of language, I want to try to draw the poster out some. If we always show our work, it helps readers who come to this thread later whether it is after a month or a year. That's all :)

You should be able to purchase the first three books on Amazon for much less. The fourth book is a collection of literature excerpts. You should look for it only if you suffer from chronic finishitis. Bordas publishes good anthologies.
