Translation of a phrase/sentence from Italian to English.

Postby Chris17 » Fri Oct 06, 2017 5:13 pm

Hello,

I was just wondering if somebody could help me translate this sentence, it’s confusing me as from the words I understand individually mean something different than it translates to if I use a translator with the whole sentence.

questa decisione mi lascia un po’ con l’amaro in bocca ma non mi pento di niente di quello che ho fatto con te, mi piaci davvero e ti auguro ogni bene.

Thanks in advance!!

This decision leaves me with a slight bitter taste in my mouth, but I don't regret anything we've done together, I truly do like you and I wish you all the best.

Sounds like a breakup thing.

... un po' con l'amaro in bocca = with a bitter/bad taste in my mouth. Somewhat disappointed.

Bittersweet = dolceamaro.
