European Day of Languages

Postby Ogrim » Tue Sep 26, 2017 9:57 am

Today is the European Day of Languages, which has been celebrated every year on 26 September since 2001. There are events to mark the day in most European countries and also in some non-European countres, including the USA. On the website of the European Centre for Modern Languages you can find amongst other information about the day, a quiz to test your knowledge about languages in general and a search function to find out if there are any activities in the area you live.

So, happy language day everyone!

Thanks for the reminder! Sadly, this is the fourth year in a row I've forgotten to organize something at work (at least I mentioned the day back in 2012...).

Wow, and I've somehow never heard of it. There must not be THAT many events in the US.
