The the past four weeks:
Wake up
Go to school 45ish min early and work on vocab/review the material from the previous day
Go to class
Talk to my classmates in German when we're not in class
Do homework
Work on vocab again

What normally happens when I'm not in Germany taking an intensive class:
Vocab: 4-5 days a week
German news/tv shows: 3-5 hours a week (with some weeks going way above this)
Reading: nearly zero most weeks unless I have to for a German class for school
Chapters from text/workbooks: 3-5 a week depending on the material, how I'm feeling mental health wise, and how busy I am

At the moment I am annoying people here and I am watching cartoons in Spanish. Soon I will be annoying people somewhere else. Possibly in Spanish. I will continue to listen to Spanish.

At the moment I'm doing Duolingo sessions in six languages (at least one per languages), Anki reviews in a number of languages (some of them with more than 300 reviews each day), one podcast lesson (or more) in Czech and Cantonese, and I also read a lot - but mostly in Swedish and English. If weather permits, I take long walks and listen to foreign language audio. Total time? Maybe two hours.

I've never had an actual routine. The closest thing to it was reading at least 10 page a day in the TL some time ago, but now I'm not counting pages or hours. My only 'rule' about learning (or probably I should call it maintaining) is - do something every day. But this rule is easy to follow - I just watch or read whatever I want :) . I don't have any specific schedule for it, I just use freetime gaps during a day.

For Spanish I just read books and news stories, watch TV, and listen to podcasts on the way to work. No set routine.

My Welsh routine so far:

Duolingo lessons (maybe 30 minutes)
One Say Something in Welsh lesson on days that work doesn't get in the way (usually 45 mins to an hour)
Reading a book. So far I have only read "novels for Welsh learners", but a real book is on the way. (the time varies)
Reading at least one news story per day (it usually takes me 15 or 20 minutes to get through a short news story)
When my vocabulary is good enough I plan on listening to Welsh podcasts on the way home from work (30 minute drive)

Lately with Japanese, I've been doing twenty odd minutes of Glossika, thirty minutes to an hour of intensive reading of non-fiction (news or other short articles), then another thirty minutes to an hour of intensive reading of short stories. After that's done, I do about a half hour of kanji work. With all that done, I'll often read some other books or internet articles or watch TV for pleasure, but it depends on my schedule and what I feel like doing.

Lately my daily routine has been relaxed. Here it is:

evening
Watch a 30 minute episode in TL
Read for 30-60 minutes
Do 10 minutes of grammar review in Anki

Before bed
15-30 minutes of putting new grammar exercises into Anki
Watch a 30 minute episode in TL
Read till I sleep.

That's pretty much all I do for French these days. I write my French friends a few times a week, but we don't have daily interactions, so I didn't include it. I average around three hours a day.

My routine changes considerably over time, but I am comfortable sharing my current schedule.

Current Routine

  • 2+ hours daily native podcast listening often well above my current level but comprehensible (ingrained 5-month habit).
  • 1 hour of TV daily (Aquí no hay quien viva, kind to A2 ears but still native). I have only watched about a dozen episodes so far and TV watching is a very weak habit for me.
  • 10-20 minutes of Anki
  • Reading ~ 20-30 pages per day (Gabriel García Márquez, intermediate reading).
  • Spanish forum browsing - a few times a week, looking to expand this considerably to cover more of my procrastination time. Ideally 1-2 hours per day.

In times of urgency, the last to drop is the podcast listening since it is highly versatile. First two to go would be Anki (I am trying it for fun more than anything since I have 2-3k words that I wouldn't mind knowing) followed by forum browsing (since I am enjoying reading enough to cover that need for now).
