Quick look at conjunctions and connectors. They have now been converted to JSON.
Comments:
All the conjunctions are two letters long, ending in a, except doula and wela. That seems like unnecessary exceptions. I see that doula (even if) is a compound word dou(even) and la(if). Why not just express "even if" as the two separate words (dou la)? And wela: "we" doesn't mean as. Rather it is a verb prefix expressing mood. So why not make a separate word for "as" (probably very useful elsewhere), and not use wela. Or wela could be changed to some other two-letter conjunction ending in "a". Those two changes (doula) and (wela) would make conjunctions all two-letter words ending in "a".
Connectors:
All connectors end in v except weqoz and wuzti. Why not make all connectors end in v? Perhaps weqov and wuztiv.

Yes why not. "dou la" is fine, any proposals for "wela"?
As for the connectors, if Crush agrees why not.
The only issue is something tommus mentioned, that it now takes the animal -a ending. I think having either a specific country affix from which we could create people and languages, too, or adding 'dexu' or some other word (and perhaps 'vale' for the language, eg. doicdexu - Germany, doicvale - German) would simplify things a lot.
My view on this: Countries/Cities etc are proper nouns and they do not need any suffixes. Their initial letter is capitalized in order to mark this:
Spania (Spain)
Iork-Novi (New York)
Nihon (Japan)
Some languages are proper nouns too:
Esperanto
Atlas
However, in most cases, names for countries are coincident (or could be) with languages. In that case, the proper noun is added to the root "val" (language):
Spaniavale - Spanish
Nihonvale - Japanese
Doicvale - German
So just to clarify:
Doic - Germany
Doicvale - German
So, what about adjectives?
My opinion is proper nouns should not be inflected (not have any suffixes). So what I would do:
Proper nouns use "de" in order to add information: Al-itsa de Spania - the Spanish person (lit: the Person of Spain).
Nouns with "-val" can form the adjective following common names rules: Al-lixinen Doicvali (the German rules)(German language)
See the difference:
Al-lixinen de Doic - the German rules (of the people)
Al-lixinen Doicvali - the German rules (language)

Re: New auxlang: Atlas
Correlatives and Grammar Particles. Now converted to JSON.
I like the correlatives. All end in -ar and they are very consistent. Here is the human-readable version of the JSON data.
Grammar particles are a whole lot more challenging than correlatives. The main challenges are the multiple meanings and usages (especially "de") and even the use of suffixes ("vena"). "de" mainly means "of" but it can mean "that". (al-baitu de wi piacet – the house that I liked.) I think that usage of "de" may cause all sorts of parsing and understanding/usage problems. Yes, that "that" is a different kind of "that" than "ke (that). For Atlas-English, would "ke" be OK for both "that"s? Maybe there would be problems in other languages if "ke" were both "that"s? If so, why not create an additional grammar particle for the "that" that currently belongs to "de"? Now I know I wanted to cut back on these kinds of "small words" but perhaps it is needed here to avoid confusion. Comments?
Now, some of the other multiple uses of "de", as shown in section 12 of the Atlas Grammar:
1. additional information
2. modify verbs
3. modify adjectives
4. modify adverbs
5. completion
6. comparative
I think this little "de" is very overworked. I have no idea how I would handle it in the Atlas pop-up dictionary, let alone learn how to use and recognize its uses. This is complex, or am I missing its simplicity?
The suffix on "ven" (vena):
It appears from the grammar that "xen" can also take a suffix and become "xena". Is this correct? Both vena and xena would be pronouns. Are they the only grammar particles that can become pronouns and take a suffix? Are xen and ven grammar particles? They are marked only as particles so I guess they can be different than grammar particles. So far I have included them in with grammar particles.
And one more comment on "ke". Here are four lines from the Atlas grammar about "ke":
“ke” is a particle joining two sentences, in which the second one is dependant on the first:
Hineka dizet e wi, ke al-bazzu bevermez – somebody said to me, that the factory will be closed.
However, it works as well without the “ke”:
Hineka dizet e wi, al-bazzu bevermez.
Is this an unnecessary exception? Should there be discretion in the use of "ke"? It could lead to some difficulties.

Re: New auxlang: Atlas
Atlas roots and prepositions added to JSON data.
Duplicate roots:
dak (hit)
dak (collision)
Still in dictionary as separate entries. I think they are the same and should be combined dak (hit, collision)
kuk (cook)
kuk (chicken)
zel (sky)
zel (order, instruct)
zell (cell). Although zell is different than zel, I think they will cause confusion and probably one should be changed.
These duplicate roots will cause havoc in developing derived words so should be corrected as soon as possible.
Prepositions. Earlier, there was a big purge of prepositions. I think there are currently just 24 but I still have six extra that I think are supposed to be deleted. (an, houn, qun, sein, von, za). Perhaps Rodiniye could confirm that these are gone? Four of those (hou, qun, sein and von) were formed by adding an "n". Can Rodiniye confirm that adding an "n" to prepositions has also been eliminated?
Here is the list of 30 prepositions I have, including the six I think have probably been eliminated. Note that the part-of-speech contains "preposition:" plus a descriptor.

I think both of tommus' suggestions make sense and would be worth implementing.Rodiniye wrote:All the conjunctions are two letters long, ending in a, except doula and wela. Connectors:

Yes why not. "dou la" is fine, any proposals for "wela"?
As for the connectors, if Crush agrees why not.
Rodiniye wrote:My view on this: Countries/Cities etc are proper nouns and they do not need any suffixes. Their initial letter is capitalized in order to mark this:
I guess that makes sense, i think having affixes would make it clearer, especially when speaking, and would fit in better with the rest of the grammar (you could convert them into adjectives adding -i, for example, and perhaps by adding -a you could turn Germany into German (person)), especially since learning countries can be a bit of a pain, but it's not a huge deal i suppose.
Rodiniye wrote:However, in most cases, names for countries are coincident (or could be) with languages. In that case, the proper noun is added to the root "val" (language):

I like that, but "Spaniavale" looks really weird to me. Also, why Spania and not Espania? Proper nouns shouldn't be inflected unless all proper nouns also get converted into Atlas words, eg. removing final vowels and adding -a for people (John -> Jona, Vladimir -> Vladimira, Joe -> Joa, etc.), -u for places, etc. I'm fine with either way.
Also, i think "xen" and "ven" could probably be combined, unless you can think of a situation where they might cause confusion?
Nice work again tommus, finding the duplicate roots and ironing out other issues

I don't know what happened to produce that duplicate. I have been working on a new post that isn't quite finished yet. Must be a ghost or something! Anyway, I just deleted the duplicate. Thanks.

Yes why not. "dou la" is fine, any proposals for "wela"?
OK. For "wela", how about two words? gehi (as) la (if), so "gehi la" (as if).
Example in English: He is acting as if he is ready. In this case, "as" is expressing similarity which is the meaning of "gehi.
Country names.
crush wrote:i think having affixes would make it clearer, especially when speaking, and would fit in better with the rest of the grammar (you could convert them into adjectives adding -i, for example, and perhaps by adding -a you could turn Germany into German (person))
I like that. It retains the country name that the natives use, and gives it an Atlas flavour. Some spelling changes could be made to adapt the names to Atlas spelling and pronunciation.
Doicu (Germany)
Doici (Germanic)
Doica (German person)
Doicata (female German person)
Doicera (male German person)
Doican (German people)
Ameriku, Ameriki, Amerika, amerikata, amerikera, amerikan
Espanu, Espani, Espana, Espanata, Espanera, Espanan
Nihonu, Nihoni, Nihona, Nihonata, Nihonera, Nihonan
Helvetiu, Helvetia, Helvetiata, Helvetiera, Helvetian
Francu, Franca, Francata, Francera, Francan
For countries with multiple parts to the name, especially with adjectives such as north/south, a somewhat different form will be required. For example; Rodiniye suggested Avriku Qubaxi for South Africa. I think that is fine. Examples:
Avriku Qubaxi,
Britianu Berzami (not sure this is the best, but just for example)
It becomes a bit awkward to make the derivitives, but not significantly different than in English:
Avriki Qubaxi, Avrika Qubaxi, Avrikata Qubaxi, Avrikera Qubaxi, Avrikan Qubaxi
Britiani Berzami, Britiana Berzami, Britianata Berzami, Britianera Berzami, Britianan Berzami
Some food for thought.

Atlas numbers and personal pronouns converted to JSON data and to the human-friendly format:
