> hope that you've all learned something!
I have, but still I thank god it's over
I mean I thank you for running the Study so that I studied more Greek than I otherwise would have.
Some of you may have noticed by now that whenever I see numbers, I just have to crunch them
:crunch: :crunch: This Study happened to cover the 2nd half of my Greek journey so far: I studied 312 hours before it, and 321 hours during it (plus 74 hours of background listening). I studied more hours per day during the Study than before, likely because I subconsciously wanted to beat those lazy bones who think they could learn a language just by watching TV while eating chocolate cake.
In the pre-Study Dialang tests I got B1 in all 5 papers, while after the Study, listening became B2. Scores improved in all 5 papers. Grammar was just 1 point away from B2! Meanwhile in the self-assessment, I put 38 ticks pre-Study and 92 post-. 29 existing skills improved and 25 new skills emerged. Still not functional but at least more comfortable!
Thanks rdearman for the Study, thanks zenmonkey for the spreadsheet, and I hope everyone got good results and useful data to analyse their studies
