Who else is raising children multilingually in a monolingual environment?

I am in my mid-30s and I don’t speak either one of my parents’ native language. This makes me feel like a foreigner in both countries. As with many kids from dual-nationality homes, I was bullied as a child for being different and that was part of the reason why I refused to blend-in. I commend parents who want their kids to learn both parents’ languages, it will benefit them a great deal.
