Q: When can you say you have reached Intermediate level?
A: Anytime you want... it's your mouth.

Q: To L2 subtitles or no?
A: TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!

Q: Great Literature = Better Listening Skills?
A: Dictionary says no. Great Literature = written works, especially those considered of superior or lasting artistic merit.

Q: "Ne tüne szabs kartiit "
A: Not in my lifetime!

Q: Are Romance languages "inefficient"?
A: I didn't know you could use them as a heat source or a marketplace.

Q: Language Communities: experiences?
A: :D Oh yeah! One time down in Mexico, I met this ... er.... oh... that isn't what you meant.

Q: What is your favorite language?
A: C, because C++ is just a pain to use and I had all that object-oriented crap. Although perl and python are nice too.

Q: I need an ultrasonic wave for my soup : why words don't stick?
A: You're not using enough glue.

Q: Is there a single example of wanderlust language learners actually being broadly successful?
A: No, move along, nothing to see here.

Q: Language Epiphanies?
A: "And at that time there came wise men from the East.
And they came bearing gifts: Assimil, Pimsleur, and Linguaphone.
And thereafter, men spaketh in many tongues....
Women too, as these were enlightened wise men."

(From the King James29 bible, with amendments, without permission...)

Q. Why are you learning our language?
A. So when we invade your country I'll be able to ask, "Where is the toilet?"
