Ah, so they've decided to go independent rather than be the public face of Babbel?

Certainly refreshingly less hyperbolic than most -- no invented jargon, no miraculous promises, just "we know lots of languages, and we teach languages too".

Good luck to them.

Probably I should write a book "How to learn some Japanese in 22 years". I doubt it will be a best-seller though...

You and me both. Took me 34 years to get my 3/3 in Russian. "Russian Fluency in a Short 34 Years."

You're not a C1 (or B1 or whatever) if you haven't tested.

What I've learned is that the trick (marketing) is to use months or even days instead of years. It just looks better, and more inviting!

So do name your book:
"Fluent in 264 Months: How Anyone at Any Age Can Learn to Speak Any Language from Anywhere in the World Provided They Plan to Live for 264 More Months"

YouTube is very important for promotion these days, so make sure you also release a video:
I learned Japanese in 8,030 days

Good luck!

So, does anybody believe there will be an audience for my YouTube video entitled "How I learned basic Finnish in only 12 years"? :D
