I first heard about Expolingua back on HTLAL, long before Polyglot Gathering was around.
Except Steve Kaufmann, the other language influencers mentioned in the programme are totally unknown to me. Including TheSwedishLad (and that blog has been around since 2010!). Now that I think of it, I've never heard of any of the lecturers either.
