How has your native language been affected since you started learning languages?

- Languages: English (N), German (fluent), Turkish (fluent), Russian (fluent), French (semi-fluent), Spanish (semi-fluent), am studying Polish, have some knowledge of it, also studying modern Greek, basic knowledge of Arabic (mostly MSA, some exposure to colloquial dialects), basic knowledge of Latin and Italian, beginner in Scottish Gaelic.

Re: How has your native language been affected since you started learning languages?
I find that if I intensively study/speak an L2, my English spelling (normally good) can become a bit wonky. It is as though the L2 drives the L1 back a little bit though I am in little danger of actually forgetting English.
