What does C-ish level mean?

An advanced level. In my case I can read Swedish criminals with ease and reading more challenging book is only a matter of looking up words a bit more frequently. I read while listening to the audio if somebody was wondering.

You can read Swedish criminals with ease? Are you a forensic psychology expert?

Presumably, Voytek meant to say "crime novel" or the like. It's probably an accidental calque. I know German uses the word "Krimi" so Polish might be similiar.

If my break was to study a different language the damage is worse.

The quickest way to get back what I forgot is to hit the language so HARD for a week, that it triggers my brain to dig up what is left as if my life depended on it.
