Yeah, "we" can be used as a generic pronoun in other contexts ("when we take a closer look at this issue..." =~ "when one takes a closer look at this issue"), so it's not surprising a non-native speaker might over-extend this pattern.

We? Is this a Peter Parker/Venom Symbiote type situation, or are you simply deciding it is your prerogative to speak on behalf of the entire forum?

Ok, so guys were wrong, it's not about wrong usage of "we" by a non native. You're just being mean and assuming the rest of us wants to be mean with you. I don't.

I root for SaltySalt! There are lots of people, who get stuck, and often at a very low level. One of the very common reasons is the low end level of vast majority of the resource for the self teaching learners, but there is much more to it. I don't think "you don't like languages that much after all" is a reasonable thought here. And about the earlier example with the foreign waiter: yes, they are immersed and usually motivated to learn in that setting. So what.

"Sometimes people lie to themselves, you know," when they think they are expressing an opinion of a whole community. ;-)

To quote a classic: "Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion man" ;)

"You" in this case would be singular, not plural.

Bugger, it's like reading a book and finding the last page is missing.
