At the uni, one lecturer who is my friend told me that one student is absoultely gorgeous and that she likes the days when he's there haha. She described him as tall, muscular but not a body builder, blond hair, beautiful blue eyes, all the girls melt when they see him, but he's a bit shy etc. I thought that he seemed attractive, but first in my thoughts was the quesiton from which country, possibly Norway, Sweden, Finnland etc and which is his native language.

At the beginning of our relationship, my boyfriend got some attraction points for not insisting on Czech subtitles to English movies and tv series and being able to stop using the English subtitles very soon. His comprehension is not 100%, but it is high and improving. My former boyfriend lost some points due to being unwilling to get rid of the Czech subtitles. However our extremely different tastes in movies were a worse problem (but of course it wasn't the deciding factor in the break up)

...when you're in an English-speaking country and you see a sign with the word "Xbox" on it and your first assumption is that it is a word written in Cyrillic.

When you have a masters final (on which your graduation depends) coming up in two weeks and you are blowing off that time watching French in Action, because you just HAVE to get good at French during that time. It can't wait two more weeks.

Wow. You win all the geek points. I never accept books from Mormons or Jehovah's Witnesses, regardless of the language they're in.

why did a stranger want to give you a book in Albanian when you're swedish in Sweden? "sorry, we haven't got any swedish books, but here's the Albanain version"??? "no thanks, but have you got the vietnamese one?" it's totally wierd.

You are a winner, I agree with Cainntear, but the person who gave you the book is a winner of language weirdness.

No, English has a first person singular: use it!

Some basic guidelines for "thou".
"Thou" is nominative.
"Thy" is genative.
"Thee" is oblique.
Thou is always singular. Ye is plural or singular formal.
The second person singular English verb conjugation ending is "-st" or "-est".
Thus we get "I do", but "Thou dost."
The second person singular form of "to be" is "art".
The second person singular form of "to have" is "hast".
