I'm only interested in books and movies. They usually have some kind of language in them. Some natural, some unnatural.

My current focus language is korean, but from time to time I've found myself watching thai TV dramas with and without english subs and trying to learn some thai from them.

And I've already thought of the thai-learning plan I would like to follow in the future and I've been looking for material and gathering resources. And I have thought of some experiments I would like to try.

It all started by me wanting to take a small partial-break from korean on Sundays. But it has snowballed into me watching thai dramas (and making plans and thinking about the best way to learn thai) when I should be using that time for korean.

I'm still doing stuff with korean every day, just not as much as I could do if I weren't distracted by thai. But I'm actually enjoying the journey, and as that (fun and enjoyment) is my current language-learning guide/approach I'm letting things develop spontaneously.

I have done this many times . Yesterday, I watched a 10 minute video that was entirely in German, even though I understood almost nothing. I've also done this with Russian and Japanese . I've decided not to call these activities procrastination, but test-drives.
