When you hear Russian children shouting outside and you'd swear they're speaking Japanese.
(Not a joke, keeps happening to me time and again.)
By the way, I'm not a language nerd. Never been interested in languages.

When Geek Pride Day is approaching (25th May), and you're thinking of a bunch of possible lecture topics (those on my drawing board) for a local event, but ditch the whole thing. My study time is too precious.
