Comedian Harmonists - Wenn die Sonja russisch tanzt
Text
Fürst Iwan Warankoff,
War einst ein Millionär.
Hei, sprach Fürst Warankoff,
Das ist schon lange her.
Sein Freund sprach:
O mein Fürst,
Heut weiß ich ein Lokal,
Wo Du dich fühlen wirst
Wie anno dazumal.
Hei, dort tanzt als Star,
Sonja in der Bar.
Hei! Hei! Hei!
Wenn die Sonja russisch tanzt,
Ist man gleich verliebt,
Weil es keine schön're Frau,
Als die Sonja gibt.
Ja, wenn die Sonja russisch tanzt,
Fühlt man ihre Glut.
Wolga, Wodka, Kaukasus,
Liegen ihr im Blut.
Sogar der Vladimir,
Das alte Trampeltier,
Er läßt den Wodka steh'n,
Nur um sie anzuseh'n.
Ha! Ha! Ha!
Wenn die Sonja russisch tanzt,
Schreit der ganze Saal:
Sonja, Sonja,
Sonja, Sonja,
Sonja, noch einmal.
Wenn die Sonja russisch tanzt,
Ist man gleich verliebt,
Weil es keine schön're Frau,
Als die Sonja gibt.
Wenn die Sonja russisch tanzt,
Fühlt man ihre Glut.
Wolga, Wodka, Kaukasus,
Liegen ihr im Blut.
Sogar der Vladimir,
Ist ganz verrückt nach ihr.
Er läßt den Wodka steh'n,
Nur um sie anzuseh'n.
Wenn die Sonja russisch tanzt,
Brüllt der ganze Saal:
Sonja, Sonja, Sonja, Sonja,
(Could someone who knows Russian please have a look at this and maybe transliterate/correct the text?)
Sogar der Vladimir,
Ist ganz verrückt nach ihr.
Er läßt die Wodkaflasche stehn,
Nur um die Sonja anzusehn.
Wenn die Sonja russisch tanzt,
Brüllt der ganze Saal:
Sonja, Sonja, Sonja, Sonja,
Sonja, noch einmal. Hei!

Depends on which rules do you apply to transliterate stuff.
Cyrillic:
Сволочь, что за шум! Девы, что за крик!
Я люблю и я умру за улыбку твою.
translit.net:
Svoloch', chto za shum! Devy, chto za krik!
Ja ljublju i ja umru za ulybku tvoju.
On topic of dancing (watch from 1:33)
or in Dutch (watch from 3:01)

The last dance, huh?
A young man receives a letter by mistake and goes out to prevent a "last dance". A love letter by accident, of language, light dyslexia, fatherhood and a certain poetry...

Wow, I know this song! I used to listen to this band (and Empyr) back in 2011, hehe.
___
More on dancing from the band which made me study German...
(not a video, just a slideshow, but still...)
lyrics, handwritten

I worshipped Kyo back in high school :emohairswish:
Some more dancing demons . I initially hated this song, but after inadvertently hearing it enough times it started to grow on me and I ended up loving it

You probably could also call this dancing with "demons":
Laibach - Tanz mit Laibach
Laibach - Tanz mit Laibach

I can only listen to that so many times... played so often at parties, guaranteed to clear the dance floor.
And since it makes me want to put cotton in my ears .... I give you, same period, a little cotton... and a different demon
video by Gautier (Eurythmics, Bananarama, Les Rita Mitsouko...)

Laibach - Tanz mit Laibach
Well, if we are doing Laibach, let's do D.A.F. (the inspiration...) and dancing with the other devil...
