I recommend that you refer to the “Language Programs and Resources” sub-section of this form and to the “General Linguaphone Discussion” thread, PAGE 10, wherein a description of the Linguaphone Dutch courses has been posted.

Re: Linguaphone Dutch
The question is, is the current Dutch course the one from 1984? The eight CDs seem to suggest so.

Re: Linguaphone Dutch
The “question is” was not part of your original question. Nevertheless, your supposition is correct.

Re: Linguaphone Dutch
Right. I already knew the 1984 version, I just imagined that by 2019 we'd have a new one, thence my request for information on this hypothetical new version. Now, if it turns out that 2019 = 1984, that pretty much settles it.

Linguaphone has been known to repackage their courses over decades at a time. It seems that their 3 generations can be organized as those from the 1920's/30's; the 1950's (where all courses followed the same Table of Contents & more or less script); and the 1970's (which is generally what you'll still find today). There are the exceptions, which include the 1980's reformatted Dutch course, but it stands to reason that that is the same one available today. I think were Linguaphone to release any new material (aside from their PDQ or "All-talk" introductions) there would be quite a massive thread on here to discuss this!

Re: Linguaphone Dutch
I can confirm the version sold in 2019 is the 1984 version.
Given that Linguaphone is now a small company that trades off its old IP, I doubt you will ever see another new Linguaphone product being produced again.
