I’m at the airport just about to leave Indonesia.

These phrases have been handy over the last week or so.

Thank you, sir/ma’am/older brother/sister/miss
I want/order/request ....
Good morning/afternoon/evening/night
Just ...this/drinks/one
Without sugar/milk/meat/fish/chicken
Thanks but I don’t want one
Can you give me a lower price?
May I take a photo?
Excuse me, where’s the toilet/wash basin?
Do you have any .....?

Based on this morning’s experience.

“I don’t know anything about a battery pack. Oh that must be my wife’s bag. Yes, I will come with you. I don’t know where the battery pack is, the bag belongs to my wife. (Bag goes through scanner again). At the top? Ah, here it is. I’m really sorry about that. I’m really sorry about that. Would you like to arrest my wife?”

I didn’t actually use the last sentence.
