Blind as an owl might work too but I'm all about being endearing. Keep it coming. All 50 of you.

reinekeee...
First of all: Puten!
(Just that old inside joke between the fox and me. "Puten" is a German word meaning turkey hens.)

Second... I do realize that in your list of languages, you stated being a native speaker of Fox. However, I am not. Neither are most of the other users. You already made so many posts that haven't got the slightest riddle-ish character. On the contrary. They are very legible. So why didn't you stick to the same method in this case, too? I haven't got the slightest clue on what you are talking about right now. #NoOffense

Idiom: to toy with someone, something,
To treat something as a plaything in order to idly amuse oneself, viz. Cats are known for toying with their prey.

Thank you for explaining the idiom. However, I still am looking forward for The Fox explaining the whole post (or the remainder). Like "all 50 of you" and so on, and possibly even clarifying the connection of that idiom to whatever the Fox wants to say about FSI or the poll some more...

The fox gets love letters from fellow members that occasionally remain unopened.

I feel like I should have been sending love letters all this time....

Is completing FSI phonology a course, or are we only talking about the larger/main courses for a language?

Also I refuse to vote #3/might when it is: #3/will/currently/even if it takes 3 more years.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

You do appreciate, don’t you, that the temper of the times requires that you pick a side, that you openly advocate its perspective and that, should you fail to eschew all others, being ostracised will be the least of your problems? Either you’re with us/them/whomever or you’re against us/them/whomever. ;)

Reineke, do you study the Fox language, an endangered Algonquian language?

One need not hope in order to undertake, nor succeed in order to persevere.
