I'm very late to this party, but in case it's useful to anyone: you can quite easily look up such things in a variety of places. The two I use most frequently are Smith & Hall and the Neo-Latin Lexicon. Between the two of them I can usually find what I need. The more technical the term, however, the less likely there is to be a ready-made Latin equivalent ("Monday" is easy; "carburetor" not so much).
