I still don’t understand. It appears that in English subforums, posts can’t be completely non-English but can be partially non-English?
All language usage which isn't English
should have a translation. However, I'd probably give some words and phrases a "pass". For example if someone used. "Merci" or "Ciao", or some phrase which I feel a large number of people should understand. E.g. if you use the phrase cul-de-sac which is used in both French and English, I'd give that a pass too.
It is at the moderators discretion what action they take. They might give the post a pass if it is something which they don't feel causes a problem with the meaning. They might also, as I've done, PM the member and ask them to provide a translation. Or they might publicly point out the issue in a thread for everyone to see and publicly ask the member for a translation.
Each post is evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the moderator who reads the post, or the report about the post.
