Thank you all for coming to meet each other: I think we all had an enjoyable time. :D And, despite putting my French on hold, after tonight I'm tempted to pick it up again.

Speaking of French, we made a tentative plan to visit Montreal in summer of 2019. Updates to come...Eventually.

I had a blast! It was great to see you all again, and to meet so many new folks (who are studying such awesome languages).

I made it home safely and now I'm going to crash. More later!

Who can resist a language with a crocodile determinative and so many bird symbols that it's hard to distinguish them all?

Really great meeting you all! Had such a fun time!

Would sure be fun to wander that street in Montreal with all the bookshops and bande dessinée!

Nice! Sorry I missed it! Summer in Montreal is pretty glorious so get excited! Hopefully all goes well with immigration and I’ll still be here to meet up with you (fingers crossed)!

It's worth pointing out, that LangFest, the North American polyglot convention initiated by Steve Kaufman (spelling?) will also be in Montréal this summer, from the 23-25 of August. I've never been, so I can't say much about it other than that I'm interested, if circumstances allow, but it's worth remembering if we're planning a meet-up of our own in the same place at around the same time.

I'd also be very interested in attending HTLALvention 2k19, if it happens, although too much of my life is up in the air at the moment for me to really make any promises.

Can we make this the *2019* thread, so we don't lose anyone??

And can we plan a 2019 gathering? I haven't been on the forum in forever and I miss you guys!!

I'm down with like 6 gatherings this year if people want to hang out :)

Done. 8-)

I will be in Japan October 13-29, so a different time would work best for me. ;)
