Is there any way to sort posts by the number of likes they have? I want to see what the most liked post on the forum is.

I don't think that is possible since the like button is an forum extension rather than a integral part of the forum software. I will look into it. (Could probably do it as a one off query in the database)

I can tell you, with a high level of confidence, what the most liked post is, though!
