New Captcha

Postby rdearman » Mon Jan 16, 2023 3:08 pm

I am thinking of installing a new Captcha system from the 1st of April. I wanted to get some feedback first. Sample screen below.

I have tried the new system at several sites, and I find it too bothersome - and sometimes prone to debatable identifications of the elements to be found. We may have the problem with the present system that some system might learn the correct answers (for instance through trial and error), but at least you can answer quickly. I would prefer that we stick with the old system.

Super hard "no" for me. But just out of interest, which of the squares have a Wally? I legitimately would not be able to answer.

The wry humour of the existing system is one of the joys of this site!

Hello,

I actually quite appreciate that our website with the current Captcha which is not based on the technqiue of Google.

The services of Google from the search engine, Google translation, Gmail as well as Captcha etc are all blocked from the mainland of China. The pictures of Captcha from Google are unavailable on my brower.

If you adopt with the technique of Google, I and other (potential) users from the mainland of China won't be able to log in without VPN. I don't use VPN. :(

Would you please take this issue for your consideration if possible? Many thanks!
