Re: New auxlang: Atlas

In reviewing and editing the Derived Roots, I came across some errors in the Atlas vocabulary, some duplicate words, etc: qen (English and Spanish in wrong columns) zeb (English and Spanish in wrong columns) Spelling: tam (realize) zak (symbol) zib (trash) seq (holy) Duplicate words. Some may have s...

Re: New auxlang: Atlas

I have completed the big task of expanding on the so-called Derived Roots (all the single component nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs that can be derived from the 526 current 3-letter roots by adding all the possible suffixes). Some of these Derived Roots make little or no sense, but to analyse e...

Electronics articles in DE, NL, FR and EN

For those interested in electronics, electronic gadgets such as Arduino micro-computers, and news about electronics, the company Elektor has a very comprehensive website in German, Dutch, French and English. It also includes an active Forum separated into the 4 languages. The website looks like a ve...

Re: New auxlang: Atlas

Concerning proper names, I guess I can figure out how to parse them when they start a sentence. It means that every word that starts with a capital letter has to first be searched for as a possible proper name. That happens in many (most) languages. It must be a real challenge in German. One slight ...

Re: New auxlang: Atlas

I have now completed 4,000 of the 8,417 derived roots. It is slow, tedious and only partially satisfying work. I am not deleting any of the computer generated words; rather, I am correcting the spelling and the words in the translations. This mostly involved verbs, adverbs and adjectives. That is wh...

Re: New auxlang: Atlas

Proper names in Atlas: With the country names now appearing on the Atlas website, more proper names are sure to follow. And there will be a lot of them, with various numbers of letters. Many of them may well include Atlas 3-letter roots inside them. If they appear within a sentence, and start with a...

Re: New auxlang: Atlas

I am working on the Atlas sentences found in the grammar and I believe there are a few corrections that still have to be made in the following sentences: esas ? Di esas mohi, vi wen wottenet – You are wet, it must have been raining (hypothesis) kaqat ? Wi kaqat no di doret – I was working while you ...

Re: Missing link to LLO and the Wiki

If I knew more about phpBB systems, I'd be more helpful. But maybe this link will help. I hope it applies to our version of phpBB. Adding buttons to the navigation bar So we should add two buttons/links to the navigation bar: Language Learners' Forum Blog Language Learners' Forum Wikia These two but...

Re: New auxlang: Atlas

Another update to the Atlas Popup Dictionary. Sorry for the frequent versions, but each one is an improvement. This update was easier and faster to implement than I thought. Link: 2017-09-12 Atlas Popup Dictionary V4.1 The previous V4.0 had the function to search for possible Atlas translations of E...

Re: Missing link to LLO and the Wiki

If we are going to have static content on the main site and the wiki, we ought to have an obvious link to the main site and the wiki here on the forum header, soon. I'd like to bring some more attention to this topic. We have been discussing the need for a very obvious link from the Forum to the Wi...
