It seems to me you've done loads! You've been busy, you have to focus on reducing your stress, and you still managed to produce stuff and do listening!

Re: Sol's New Russian & Korean Log

Echoing Elenia, you can work as an English teacher without a degree as long as you have CELTA or another TESOL qualification. However lots of places, particularly in Asia (based on my research) ask for a Bachelors. (Though they might take you when you apply, depending on how much they need someone)....

Re: There are worse things I could do... (FR, RU, ES)

I am still trying to sort the last odds and ends of bureaucracy, which is a pretty good way of making me glad to leave Russia and universities for a while! I have two forms I need signed off before I leave, and I am having the best of times sorting that. I feel for you. It may not be much of...

Re: There are worse things I could do... (FR, RU, ES)

So, I have less than two days left in Russia. It's kind of a weird feeling, but this definitely feels like the right time and should hopefully allow me to find summer work (money is always appreciated!). I have taught my last lessons and have my own final lessons tomorrow. Gifts have been di...

Re: How to learn English punctuation?

Pray? English punctuation is something that a lot of natives have issues with - it's not taught in schools in the way that it is in Russia or other countries. I know that personally my punctuation could do with work (not mentioning my obscene love of brackets). It is sometimes taught in 'acad...

Re: There are worse things I could do... (FR, RU, ES)

I'm honestly not sure what my hour count is for this week exactly. I'm trying to sort everything before I leave on Friday so I haven't even been tracking seriously, let along studying! I'm still applying for jobs, I'm trying to cram in my last bits of teaching before I leave, I need to tidy and pack...

Re: Expug's 2017 Log - It's now and forever

Russian in Exercises is getting into the fun parts. I really enjoy going through one grammar topic at a time, with lots of exercises and no new vocabulary being throw in in dozens to make things worse. I hope it's really going to work this time. Is it this book? https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....

I can't speak for anyone else, but I enjoy reading your log! I am definitely a lurker on this forum - I never know what to say. But I can promise that it's being read!

Re: There are worse things I could do... (FR, RU, ES)

Russian - 11 hours of Russian (getting closer to where it was!) - Read: 12 pages for class - Watched: Avengers. - Wrote: 1241 - this is the most I have ever written in a week and I am really pleased. Hoping to beat this next week! - Grammar: Finished chapter 1 of my new Russian textbook. I can't qu...
