Re: Two languages to C1 concurrent or sequential?

Thanks everyone for the excellent advice. Now I just have to pick one to concentrate on. Perhaps a coin flip... Too easy! Flip a truck... with your bare hands! Then you'll have something to tell the young ones when you grow old. It will inspire them to... flip trucks? umm... as well :? My f...

Re: Languages you have never had any interest in learning ??

Re: Which Spanish/castellano accent do Brits learn in school?

The same in southern Valencia. Eyes would fly out of their soccets.

It sounds a little exhausting rolling ones eyes all the time (not to mention rude, but I suppose that's another story).

Re: Which Spanish/castellano accent do Brits learn in school?

I'm not British, but it's apparently , and quite naturally, Spanish Spanish. Spain is a useful country too, it's closer, and the difference isn't that huge. ( And it doesn't really matter anyway, because their accent is generally bad and quite difficult to understand :D ). In Norway they also learn ...

Re: Some questions about learning French

(You can skip the first two paragraphs.) From the little research I’ve done, it seems like there’s a huge difference between written and spoken French. I would ultimately like to become proficient at both. I’m assuming that the spoken form is basically a simplification of the written form. Is this ...
