Are these only Spain Spanish resources? I'm looking for Mexican Spanish, but it seems like it's not generally taught, but instead Spain Spanish is taught in most cases...

At any rate, if there are Mexican Spanish resources, maybe it would be useful to separate the two Spain Spanish and Mexican Spanish. My apologies if there is already a thread for this!

Thanks~

No, they're not. They're a mixture. For Mexican Spanish you can start with the Mexican versions of the phone conversations. After that you should be able to recognise Mexican Spanish and can just try resources and see, the Mexican accent is quite distinctive.

I understand your wish to see a list of resources classified by region, but for many (perhaps most) of the resources in the incredible OP (kudos to Reineke!) that wouldn't be practical. I think they should be left as they are and a different thread started for region-specific resources, otherwise people starting out learning Spanish might miss out on some incredible resources. Specific example: I lived in Spain for a while and so for practical reasons have learned the dialect they speak there (except the "distinción" pronunciation of "z" an "c", which I pigheadedly refuse to imitate for my own personal reasons) and yet benefited greatly from the FSI course, which would be classified as Latin American Spanish.

Ok, thanks for explaining, I have just been on a search for specific resources, but I came across the fact that many aren't going to be exactly what I'm looking for. It is true that I'd be missing out if I only focused on resources that included only one region. And you're also right that the Mexican accent is quite distinctive. So, I'll take a look through what's already here, thanks! Your response was helpful.

This thread seems very useful. I need to learn Spanish, but I don't know how. I mean, I can speak a little bit and understand it when I read it, although when they speak it's impossible. I've learned 3 other foreign languages which I know now, but long ago and I can't remember exactly how. Sometimes there are too many choices like websites, methods etc, I would prefer a nice method which is not complicated and doesn't require complicated technology. I would like to live in the Canary Islands, so Spain's Spanish is the variety I'd like to learn and have learned until now. My pronunciation is useless, so if there's a method for that it would be great.
