Re: Output Challenge 2015/2016 Discussion
Hello,
I've got a question: When I do the Assimil active phase and translate all those stuff from german to french and write that down, does that also count as output? I mean, it is not really my own thoughts...

Re: Output Challenge 2015/2016 Discussion
Well, today I reached the 10% mark with my writing (5,196/50,000 words) and I'm not far off with the audio (271/3000 minutes). If I carry on like this all year I'll finish the challenge with a couple of months to spare
And in other news, I have completed the written part of the January mini challenge. I just need to edit it and record it (which I will do next week), then I'll share it with y'all

Thanks everyone! I am very embarrassed about this, but I have recorded my script (for the January mini challenge), uploaded it to soundcloud and posted it on my log. Enjoy?

Re: Output Challenge 2015/2016 Discussion
I'm about 6000 words into the challange now, and the first month hasn't even ended!
It'll probably slow down a little bit from now on though, since my unusually long winter break is over, and I've decided to stop keeping a journal (that makes up more than 50% of my writing), because I felt like I kept repeating myself too much, which defeats the purpose of this challenge, in my opinion.

You guys are making me feel ashamed of the 3000 something words I've achieved, no fair! You're also making me ashamed of my oral effort, which hasn't budged since last time. Maybe I should work on that...

Re: Output Challenge 2015/2016 Discussion
2016 Mini-Challenge is here!!!!
Doing this a little early for February to give you time to think! I'm leaving all the previous months as a recap, and don't forget you can see last years mini-challenges in this thread too.
The January Mini-challenge was:
Written Challenge: Write a short script between two characters which starts in a lift (elevator). The first line of dialogue in the script should be: "You didn't sit on the red chair did you?", and the last line of dialogue should be: "Are you kidding me? We're not 'fine'!"
Audio Challenge: Record this script reading for both characters. Bonus if you can record this twice with a native speaker, each of you doing one character then swapping.
The February mini-challenge is:
Written Challenge: Think up 10 Output mini-challenges for yourself!!! Email one to arrive on the first of each month for the rest of the year using FutureMe.org. Write out the challenge in your TL, and hopefully when you get the one in December you'll see how much you've improved!
Audio Challenge: Read / speak your Output mini-challenges, and attach them to an email to the future you! (although I think you'll have to embed a link in the email actually)
I think you'll enjoy this mini-challenge, and please share your future challenges, with us here in the present so we have a pool of ideas to use!
